Max. Just Max. Not short for anything and definitely doesn’t stand for anything. Her father had expected a boy and his expectations didn’t waver even though she wasn’t. Being the only child, she was spoilt by her mother and taught how to fight by her father. She’d never as much as thought about it until one day, she realised she was too much of a boy.

Max is beginning to think she should act more like a girl, start dressing, acting and being a girl. Being sent to Trinity, Max shares a room with her cousin Iona and tries to stop her from doing something stupid -like running off to find her sister.

Lately, she’s beginning to notice the eyes of Theodore James following her slightly more than anyone else. Surely someone like him wasn’t interested in someone like her?
